The museum space dedicated to Edmondo De Amicis is housed on the ground floor of the City Library in the square, next to that which was his birthplace.
Divided into three distinct rooms, the museum houses the original furnishings that create work environments where it operated De Amicis: the writing desk, armchairs, cherry libraries, cathedral glass windows, paintings and portraits, sculptures, furnishings and props, in addition to numerous editions of “Heart ” translated into several foreign languages, including Chinese and Japanese.
Here it is preserved the entire writer’s library consisting of over 3000 volums.
